The year is off to a great start for OceanConnect. We had the pleasure of meeting up with the team at the beginning of this year, and not just any team: a year that will lead up to the Route du Rhum.
A fruitful exchange that reflects our continued support for the project led by Yves and his entire team.
More than just a back-to-school meeting, this gathering marked the official launch of a busy, ambitious, and demanding sporting season, punctuated by several major races, culminating in one of sailing’s most iconic events: the Route du Rhum.
A season punctuated by major events
The upcoming calendar promises to be particularly rich and strategic for the project’s development:
✅ PAPREC 600 – Saint-Tropez
April 13-25
✅ CIC Med Channel Race
May 3-10
✅ CIC Normandie
May 31-June 7
✅ Massilia Cup Offshore
June 21-28
✅ Dhream Cup
July 12-18
These are all key events to gain experience, fine-tune the boat’s settings, and build strong momentum throughout the season.
The main objective: the Route du Rhum
The second half of the year will be entirely focused on preparing for the Route du Rhum, with a dedicated phase from October 19th to 31st, before the grand departure:
🚩 Departure: November 1st, from Saint-Malo
🏁 Estimated arrival: around November 18th, in Guadeloupe
An extraordinary adventure, a human, sporting, and technical challenge that perfectly embodies the values of determination, commitment, and performance championed by the OceanConnect project.
We are proud to support this pivotal year and to follow this ambitious project, race after race, all the way to the legendary transatlantic race.
⛵ An intense year begins. Heading out to sea.
Together, let’s sail for a more responsible future.
